Snowboardcoross technique
Žerava, Jakub ; Gnad, Tomáš (advisor) ; Brtník, Tomáš (referee)
Name: Methodology of snowboardcross Aim: The aim of the bachelor thesis is to process a part of the snowboard cross methodology from the point of view of the technique of ways of overcoming obstacles resulting from their characteristics. Methods: The basic method in this work was the qualitative research and analysis of documents, internet sources. Next method was unstructured interviews with the national coaches of the Czech Republic in snowboard cross and the author's empiric experiences. Results: The methodology thus elaborated for training the technical skills of overcoming obstacles in snowboardcross will serve as a basis for future but also current snowboard cross coaches. Unfortunately, no other methodology so elaborated has been found, but according to the coaches of the Czech Republic team in SBX this methodology is currently the most effective. However, it is not excluded that it may change over the years. Key words: snowboarding, snowboardcross, technique of riding
Body composition of the Czech national snowboardcross team
Hanko, Michal ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Kinkorová, Ivana (referee)
Title: Body composition of the Czech national snowboardcross team Objectives: The aim of this work is to measure and evaluate body composition as a factor influencing sports performance in the Czech snowboardcross team and comparison with relevant data of foreign authors. Methods: We evaluated body composition data using whole-body BIA analysis (Bodystat 1500 monofrequency analyzer in the field), anthropometric examination (height, weight) and waist-hip ratio, indicating the risk of cardiovascular disease. At the same time, we recorded the age and length of training of snowboarders. We used statistical operations (arithmetic mean, standard deviation, minima and maxima, statistical and material significance) for data analysis. We also compared the data with the relevant results of national teams of Italy and the USA (Vernillo et al., 2016; Sands et al., 2021) and data from the untrained population (Schutz et al., 2002; Abe et al., 2018). Results: We found that the average BMI of the Czech national team in snowboarding is 24.49 ± 1.8 kg/m2 (men) and 23.95 ± 0.94 kg/m2 (women). The mean WHR is 0.8 ± 0.03 (males) and 0.72 ± 0.04 (females). The Czech representatives significantly (p ˂ 0.05) and materially (d ≥ 0.8) differ significantly from the untrained population in FFMI values of 21.6 ± 1.1 kg/m2...
Analysis of training program in the Czech snowboardcross representation
Řehák, Tomáš ; Gnad, Tomáš (advisor) ; Vomáčko, Ladislav (referee)
Title: Analysis of training program in the Czech snowboardcross representation Objectives: The main objective of this thesis is to describe an annual training cycle of the Czech snowboardcross representation. Sub-objective is to analyze the individual periods of characteristic sport's preparation. Methods: In our work we used the method of involved observation, analysis, survey, interview with the instructions and informal interview. During the observation of competitor's behavior in their training units we used the method of involved observation. In the parsing of each training cycle we applicated the method of analysis. To supplement the data and to clarify the interpretation obtained by involved observation we used the method of the survey and informal interview. Results: We've found, that trainers and implamation team use for divide snowboardcross praparation nine parts of specific period. In a "dry", summer praparation they focused on developing of all physical abilities and during the preparation on snow, they focus on specific skills training, which is needed to show the maximum performance, technical and psychological praperation. Influence of acute stretching on strength predispositions in snowboardcross
Hanko, Michal ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Suchý, Jiří (referee)
Title: Influence of acute stretching on strength predispositions in snowboardcross Objectives: The aim of the work is to evaluate two effects of stretching - static and dynamic on the strength assumptions of the lower extremities by modifying the Bosco test in a group of 3 athletes in the snowboardcross discipline. Methods: Power Measurement in Bosco's Test Modification (3 series jumps of 20 seconds with a 20-second pause) after 5 minutes of warm-up on the bike ergometer (1.5W/kg) and application of a predetermined static or dynamic stretch (approximately 14 minutes). The probands are 3 male athletes in the snowboardcross discipline, aged from 16 to 23 years. Their fitness training consists of a gym 3 times a week (60-90min), gymnastics twice a week (90 min) and an individual evening stretching to develop flexibility at least 3 times a week (30 min). In the off-season, athletic training once a week (60 min). Measured values are - jump count, flight phase time in seconds, contact phase time in seconds, average power expressed in watts, and power drop in percent. Results: We found that two types of stretching - dynamic and static - have different effects on performance in the Bosco test modification. Significantly better results were achieved after application of dynamic stretching. In average...
Field and laboratory testing in snowboardcross
Bohůnková, Marie ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Gnad, Tomáš (referee)
Title: Terrain and laboratory testing in Snowboardcross Objectives: The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to compare the validity between terrain and laboratory tests and to evaluate the relationship of tests and the rating of the Czech National Cup in snowboardcross. Methods: Laboratory measurement of lower body measured by Bosco test (repeated jumps per 60 seconds), followed by terrain testing of lower body, which is consisted of broad jump, triple jump and shuttle run 4x10 meters. The probands are 3 female athletes in snowboardcross discipline, aged from 13 to 15 year old. The results of terrain and laboratory testing was compared with the results of rating of Czech National Cup. Results: We discovered that laboratory and terrain tests are similar. The probands has had the same position in 5 tests of 6 total. That means, that proband with the best results of terrain testing has also the best results in laboratory testing. But no proven connection between results of the test and their standing in rating of the Czech National Cup was found. The results of the best proband proved the best performance in races, but the results of remaining probands didn't confirm this relationship. The proband with the worst results of testing (laboratory and terrain) took 4th place in the rating of the Czech...

The comparison of strength of lower limbs in different ski and snowboard disciplines
Tišer, Kryštof ; Jindra, Matouš (advisor) ; Gnad, Tomáš (referee)
Title: Comparison of explosive strength of lower limbs in different ski and snowboard disciplines. Aims: The aim of this thesis is to compare explosive strength of lower limbs in different ski and snowboard disciplines. Methods: This is an empiric-theoretical thesis. A simple experiment (testing) was used to verify the hypothesis. 6 used sets participated in the quantitative research. Testing was carried out using two standardized tests, broad jump and vertical jump (Sargent jump). In both tests the best of the three trials was evaluated. Results: In two tests for the explosive strength of the lower limbs significant differences in this ability were shown between some ski disciplines and snowboardcross. The best results in both tests were achieved by representatives of alpine skiing which disproved our hypotheses. Only the expectation that ski jumpers would perform better than the nordic combination was fulfilled. Key words: explosive strength, broad jump, vertical jump, skiing, cross country skiing, grass skiing, nordic combination, ski jumping, alpine skiing, snowboardcross
